It is with great sadness that I have to inform members that Mr Aubrey Stewart (or Steve as we knew him) Greenfield late KOYLI and LI died on 24 Feb 23 aged 73.

Steve passed away after suffering from complications due to Covid-19 that he contracted previously.

Steve was an outstanding and highly respected Light Infanteer, and a member of the KOYLI and 2LI throughout his service. His knowledge of communications and signals was second to none. He was one of those special individuals that made the Second Battalion The Light Infantry what it was. Steve was also the Treasurer of the Leeds Branch of the Rifles, LI, and KOYLI Association for many years.

Our thoughts and condolences at the sad time are with Steve's wife Pam, his sons, family, and many friends.

As the bugle sounds 'No More Parades' and you take your place in the FRV,

your duty done with honour and distinction.

Rest in Peace Steve.

Cede Nullis.
