Remembering 2LI Officer Killed in Oman

  • 1 min read

On the 7th April in the Regimental Chapel in York Minster, members of the Sultan's Armed Forces Association (SAFA) gathered to mark the 50th Anniversary of the killing of Captain Nigel Loring late 2LI, who was killed in 1975 while on secondment to the Sultan's Armed Forces.

Kev Fawcett sounded Last Post, and Colin Cranswick paraded the Light Infantry Standard, both also served with 2LI.

As the bugle sounds 'No More Parades' and you take your place in the FRV,

your duty done with honour and distinction.

Rest in Peace Nigel.

Cede Nullis.
