Remembrance Message from the Mayor of Kirklees

Updated: Nov 6, 2020

To all those who have contributed to the Kirklees Civic Remembrance Commemorations 2020

Remembrance this year will look a little different across the whole nation, and I would like to express my thanks to you all for your participation and contribution to the Kirklees Remembrance commemorations 2020.

Whether you have taken part in filming for our online service, contributed a short film, sent in (or will be sending in) a photograph for our Community Wall of Remembrance or assisted with arrangements, your support is greatly valued.

Our Civic Service of Remembrance will be available on the Kirklees Remembrance Sunday webpage. The Service will start at 10.50 am on Sunday 8 November and a link to the service will be available on the page on Sunday morning. Simply click the link a short while before the service starts and join together with others across Kirklees to honour those who gave so much for our freedom.

Please share this information across your organisation (especially your representatives who have been involved) and also with friends and family and follow @KirkleesMayor and @KirkleesCouncil to keep in touch.

Once again, thank you for your support. Stay safe and Remember from Home.

With very best wishes

Councillor Mumtaz Hussain

Mayor of Kirklees
