Mr David Scott Wells - Late KOYLI and REME

It is with great sadness that I have to inform members that Mr David Scott Wells, late KOYLI and REME who passed away on 1st June 2021 aged 78. David who reached the rank of WO2 served in the KOYLI and later in the REME. David will be missed by all those who served with.


David was a keen motorcyclist and a proud member of the Royal British Legions Bikers.


Our condolences are with David's family and friends at this sad time. Rest in peace David as you join the FRV and the bugler sounds No More Parades. Cede Nullis.


Association members are invited to the funeral only.


The funeral arrangements are:

  • Date and time: 15 Jun at 15:30

  • Location: Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium, via Abbey Lane Cemetery, Abbey Lane, Sheffield, S8 0BQ

  • Funeral Director: John Fairest, 152 Abbey Lane, Sheffield, S8 0BQ

  • Donations in lieu of flowers to: Donations to Royal British Legion in David's name

Anyone wishing to send cards or letters of condolence is requested to send them to the Rifles Regional Office at Minden House marked FAO family of David Scott Wells. Office staff will then forward them to the family.
