The Association Vice President published his Christmas message to members and their families earlier this month, if you missed you can read it here. With 2 days to go before Christmas Day, the Rifles Regional Office staff and the Association Secretary wish to add their seasons' greetings and best wishes for the New Year to all members of the Association and their families. The office is closed for the Christmas and New Year break reopening on 4th January.
It is usual at this time of year for families and friends to come together to celebrate Christmas and the coming New Year, and to think about the loved ones and the friends we have not seen for a while. With this year being far from usual for everyone we all have family and friends that we have been unable to see, family celebrations missed, and gatherings cancelled.
Christmas can be a difficult and stressful time for some people. During this Christmas period please pause to remember members of the Association you know who live alone and the families of members who have passed away during this year. If possible, please give them a phone call to let them know someone is thinking about them. If you learn of a member, or of a deceased member’s family in crisis or struggling please let the Association Secretary know so that he can alert relevant support agencies. As we hope for a New Year in which we are able to hold Association events and meet again in person please remember to keep yourself and your family safe.
