Maj Andrew Penny Hands over to Lt Col Graham WhitmoreAt the Association Trustees meeting, 6 Feb 2018, Maj (Retd) Andrew Penny, KOYLI and 2LI stood down as the Chairman of the Association and Trustees. The Trustees thanked Andrew for his dedication and leadership during his time as Chairman.

The new Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Association and Trustees are Lt Col (Retd) Graham Whitmore, Rifles, and Maj (Retd) Derek Searby, LI. Below is a joint welcome message from Graham and Derek.

It is a privilege and an honour for us to be elected as Chair and Vice Chair of the Association Trustees. We are very conscious that with that comes significant responsibilities to the members of the Association and the heritage and traditions of former and current regiments. Therefore it is our intent, together with our fellow Trustees, to ensure that the objects of the Association are upheld and that the links between The King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, The Light Infantry and The Rifles continue to flourish. It is an important year ahead with the dedication of the KOYLI memorial statue in Doncaster, the 50th anniversary of the formation of The Light Infantry at the reunion in Shrewsbury and The Rifles Gathering in north London - and we hope to see you at some of these events!
