The Light Infantry Museum Needs Help from Light Infantrymen

Dear Light Infantrymen

We need your help!

The Light Infantry Museum and Archive has been based at Bodmin since 2009.

This year we are planning a new exhibition about Operation Banner which will update the material on display so museum visitors learn more about the history of the long-running conflict and its impact.

As part of a project to ‘unlock the archive’ we have reviewed Light Infantry documents and photos and stored them securely using specialist archive material to make sure they endure. We have also carried out interviews with former Light Infantrymen to record their experiences in Northern Ireland. These will be stored in a digital archive and where permission is given, the recordings will be used in the exhibition. Our intention is to continue this work and record the experiences of the Light Infantry in Bosnia, the Gulf and Afghanistan.

Our goal this year is to raise £40,000 for the running costs of the museum.

Will you join the roll of honour and support the regiment’s heritage?

You can make a donation by BACS or via the JustGiving link on our website www.bodminkeep.org.uk:

Account name: Cornwall’s Regimental Museum

Account number: 53422868

Sort code: 30-98-97

Thank you for your support.

Yours sincerely
