Pontefract Branch KOYLI and Rifles Standards, carried by Stephen Drew and Colin Cranswick, joined other Association and RBL Standards at Wakefield's Festival of Remembrance in Wakefield Cathedral on the evening of 11 Nov. The service attended by the Mayor of Wakefield, other local Mayors, Civic leaders, military associations, uniformed cadets and members of the public joined together to remember all those from Wakefield and the surrounding area who made the ultimate sacrifice in both World Wars and all armed conflicts. During the service the congregation were invited to place a lighted candle at the alter after which the lights in the Cathedral were dimmed.
