Tim Dyas - Joseph's great great grandson, Covid started research into his family history, since then he has put together the detailed story,

The book is about all members of Tim's family, centering on Joseph's son Joe Dyas (but a substantial part of it covers Joseph's time in the Army and his subsequent career in Ireland). It includes several sources that I have not seen before, such as Spanish documents, mentions from and by other Irish members of the 51st, correspondence from fellow Irishmen, the Irish Government, and his own family. It is an intriguing read, interesting and informative.

The book is called 'The Scratch of Her Pen' and has been published on Amazon in a digital form. A hard copy may be available in due course.

To find the book, you must log in to Amazon Books and search for "The Scratch of her Pen" or use the link below.
