The Poppy Factory has just announced this year's dates for its Poppy Pathways Programme. Veterans can sign up for a week-long training and work placement here at The Poppy Factory. The first cohort will commence from 9th March to 13th March at the Poppy Factory in Richmond. This comprehensive course is a blend of employability workshops and hands-on work experience in the factory. It's designed to holistically prepare participants for employment by building their confidence, providing practical experience, developing key employability and transferable skills, and supporting their wellbeing and resilience.
The topics covered in our workshops include:
- Workplace expectations
- Confidence building
- CV basics
- Job searching and applications
- Interview techniques and practice
- Resilience
Workshops will take place in the mornings, followed by poppy wreath making in the afternoons. All refreshments will be provided along with travel and accommodation for those who need it.
