'Platoon 24/7: Preparing for War' A New Channel 5 Series Featuring D Coy 5 Rifles

During 2025, a film production company was embedded with 13 Platoon, D Company, 5 RIFLES, filming a documentary called 'Platoon 24/7: Preparing for War' (‘24/7’ is a C5 ‘brand’ they use on a few access series).  The documentary highlights the personal journeys of some of the key Riflemen within the platoon.  

The first episode is scheduled to air on Channel Five on Monday, the 2nd of February, at 9 pm, with the following two episodes set to air in the same time slot on the 9th and 16th of February. It will also be available on the C5 streaming platform "Simply 5". The social media campaign behind this will begin today, and in addition, Major Simon Reed, Lieutenant Tom Drew, and Rifleman Callum Hancock have been asked to appear on the Jeremy Vine show in a live interview to help promote the documentary as part of a current news story broadcast piece. The date for this is tbc, and we will be notified when the date is known.
