DO YOU SUPPORT THE OPERATION OF THE LAST POST ASSOCIATION?

The Last Post Association has circulated the letter below appealing for your support. If you would like to donate, please follow the instructions in the letter of appeal.

We would like to ask for your support for the maintenance and operation of the daily Last Post ceremony under the Menin Gate in Ypres. This tribute to all those who lost their lives or indelibly mutilated during the Great War is an integral part of the life of the City of Ypres. The daily ceremony gives the Menin Gate a unique character and Ypres and the Westhoek an international fame and fame that should not be underestimated. The Last Post Association will celebrate the 98th anniversary of the very first ceremony in 1928 on July 2, 2026.

The number of visitors has again increased sharply. Many people and groups lay a wreath to honor the fallen. Of course, permanently organizing, managing, and watching over the serene course of this 'fragile' ceremony requires financial resources. During the restoration of the Menin Gate, the Last Post Association also made every effort to continue to guarantee the continuity of the daily ceremony.

That is why we appeal to your support and generosity.

Would you like to make a one-time or monthly donation or become a member of our association? An annual membership is 60 EUR. Members (with a limited number of invitees) can always report to a member of the board of directors present to be assigned a special place during the Last Post ceremony (if possible). In addition, if possible, you can participate as a VIP in extraordinary ceremonies. And our members get priority for ordering their tickets for The Great War Remembered Concert.

You can also become a lifetime member (from 1,250 EUR).

You can support the Last Post Association by transferring your payment via our website or by transferring the amount to one of the accounts of the Last Post Association vzw, 8900 Ypres:

ING - BE85 3850 0701 7106 / BBRUBEBB or

BNP Parisbas Fortis: BE09 0016 8577 8457 / GEBA BE BB.

All information can be found on the member page of our website. Your membership is valid for a period of 12 months. After this period, we will contact you again for its extension.

After receiving your payment, we will send you your digital membership card (in pdf) and also our periodic newsletter by email. If we do not yet have your email address, please mention this in the notification of your payment. We will keep you informed very regularly via our website www.lastpost.be, our Facebook page, and other social media. On request, we will provide you with an invoice for your membership.
