86th Anniversary of the Battle of Vist, Norway

On the 86th Anniversary of the Battle at Vist, Chairman of the Friends of Hustad Farm, Leif Kibsgaard, laid the KOYLI wreath at this year's annual memorial service at Hustad Church. A minute's silence was followed by the national anthems of both countries.

In 2022, Captain (Retd) Dickie and Pippa Dutton, along with Standard Bearer Colin Cranswick, made the trip to Norway for the memorial service at Hustad Farm.

It was during that visit and stay with Paul and Brit Kiddell that the Association learned of the amazing research into the KOYLI's fight against the Germans during the occupation of Norway. During this visit, Dickie laid a KOYLI wreath at Hustad Farm and the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Trondheim on behalf of the Association. Each year since the visit in 2022, a KOYLI wreath is sent to Norway for Paul and Brit to organize it being laid at the memorial at Hustad Farm.
