Don Lochrie late KOYLI In-Patient Royal Hospital Chelsea

It is my sad duty to inform you all that our last KOYLI In-Patient in the Royal Hospital Chelsea, IP 299 Pte Don Lochrie sadly passed away on Friday 8th February at the age of 92 following a long illness.

The funeral will take place on Mon 4 Mar 19 at 1400 in the All Saints Chapel, Royal Hospital Chelsea.

I had the privilege to spend a couple of hours with Don 15 months ago during a visit to the Royal Hospital. He wanted to hear all about the KOYLI Memorial, the Association and Pontefract.

Our condolences to Don's family, fellow In-Patients and Staff at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Your duty done Don, you served your country to the end as a KOYLI and a Chelsea Pensioner. Stand easy and rest in peace with your brother KOYLIs and In-Patients in the FRV. CEDE NULLIS.
