On Saturday 21 Jul the Association gazebo was at the South Kirkby Gala manned by Tim and Val Humphreys, Eddie Robinson and Colin Cranswick. At this event we met numerous serving and ex Riflemen as well as family members of Riflemen. In particular we met the grandmother, she was helping out on the next stand to ours, of Nick Brooks from 2 Rifles who has just been posted as an instructor at ITC Catterick. We met Nick just as we were packing up when he arrived from Catterick to surprise his gran.
Our thanks to South Kirkby and Moorthorpe Town Council for inviting the Association to the event and to the Riflemen and their families for calling in for a chat. Thank you to the Association members who gave up their Saturday to staff the gazebo.
