It is with sadness that we have to report that Douglas Canning late 1 KOYLI Band passed away on 19 Feb 2018 aged 77. The thoughts and condolences of all members of the Association are with Douglas's brother Dennis at this very sad and difficult time.

As the bugle sounds No More Parades and you take your place in the Final RV, Rest in peace Douglas. Cede Nullis.

Douglas a member of the 1 KOYLI Band served with the Battalion in Malaya from 1962-1965 at ''TERENDAK CAMP'' MALACCA as part of the 28TH COMMONWEALTH BRIGADE. The Battalion served tours in Borneo fighting Communist terrorists. Not long after returning to the UK Douglas was posted with the Battalion to Aden for 9 months.

Funeral Arrangements: Sadly we were only informed at the end of April that Douglas had passed away.
