Sir John Moore's Memorial in St. Paul's Cathedral

To mark the 208th anniversary of Sir John Moore's death a ceremony took place in London at St Paul's Cathedral. A contingent from 4RIFLES were joined by the various representatives from the RIFLES, RGJ, our Regimental Association Secretary and Malcolm Porter from Wakefield Branch to represent the KOYLI.

Following Evensong with the Cathedral choir, which was spectacular in the magnificent setting of St Paul's, we moved to Sir John Moore's memorial in the Cathedral for a brief service after which we laid wreaths. Afterwards we regrouped in a nearby hostelry to raise a glass or three to the "Founding Father", Absent friends and the Regiment.

The service for Sir John Moore is an annual event. The service starts at 1700 Hrs with the public Evensong. If you are in London it is well worth attending.
