It is with sadness that I have learnt that Eddie Kilburn, late 2KOYLI Band, passed away on 1 Dec 2016. Eddie left the Regiment in Berlin. The condolences of the Regimental Association members and members of the KOY/LI Band and Bugles Club are with Eddie's wife Carol and his family and friends.

Eddie as you take your place in the Regimental Band in the heavens along with the other Band members who have gone before you, remembering that like them you did your duty. Stand easy Eddie and rest in peace. Cede Nullis.

Former band members, both KOYLI and LI, including Bill Grainger who will be 97 years young on the 28th Dec 2016, attended Eddies funeral along with other members of the Battalion. Last Post and Reveille were sounded by Pete Bate who served with Eddie in the Band and Bugles. Two Regimental Association Standards, carried by former bandsman Colin Cranswick and Tim Humphreys who also served with Eddie, stood guard over the coffin. Old friendships were renewed afterwards at Ossett Central WMC.
