Gentlemen, here’s the latest update on Memorial progress. The photo shows the initial part of construction. The item seen in the photo is called an ‘Armature’ in sculpting speak! It’s actually an adjustable steel framework which gives the basic shape and positioning of the statue. Once the sculptor is happy with the positioning, the next step is to cover the whole thing with modelling foam before the next stage.
I will keep all informed as we move along.
