Former KOYLI Officer Celebrates 100th Birthday

Col (Retd) Michael Elcomb a former KOYLI Officer celebrates his 100th Birthday today 5 Dec 2020.

To mark the occasion the Association sent a bowl of White Roses, a birthday card signed by retired Officers who served with Mike. They also participated in a Zoom call with Mike at home with his family. Buglers from the Veteran Buglers Association Stan Wilkinson and Don Somers joined the Zoom session to sound the KOYLI Regimental call and Fall In The Officers.

While serving with the KOYLI Mike saw action during the Second World War in Malta, Sicily and Germany and in North Africa, where he was wounded.
