The Rifles will host a memorial service on Saturday 11 October at York Minster. The service aims to bring together the five pillars of The Rifles, regular, reserve, veteran, cadet, and the community to commemorate fallen members of The Rifles, Light Infantry, and King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry

General. The annual Memorial Service and lunch will be held on Saturday, 11 October at York Minster. The service aims to bring together the five pillars of The Rifles, regular, reserve, veteran, cadet, and the community to commemorate fallen members of The Rifles, The Light Infantry (LI), and The King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (KOYLI). After the service, a buffet lunch will be served at the Delta Hotel by Marriott (York).
Attendance. The service and the lunch are open to all serving and veteran Riflemen, KOYLI, LI, and Rifles Regimental Association members. One guest can accompany each attendee. Civic dignitaries from areas with links to The Rifles and its forming and antecedent regiments and families of fallen Riflemen will be invited as official guests. Those who wish to attend…
