General

1. The annual Memorial Service and lunch will be held at York Minster YO1 7HH on Saturday 1st Oct 22. This service brings together all five pillars of The Rifles and allows an opportunity for all Families of the Fallen in the region to remember their loved ones.

Sequence of events

2. The sequence of events is as follows:

a. By 10.50am All seated in Lady Chapel

b. By 10.55am Official Guests seated in the Lady Chapel

c. 11.00am Service starts

d. 11.30am Service ends

e. 12.00am Move to Racecourse

f. 12.30pm Arrive at Race Course

g. 1.00pm Lunch

h.  2.30pm Lunch concludes

Transport

3. It is intended to provide a coach from Minden House Pontefract  to the Minster and afterwards to the Racecourse before returning to Pontefract.  If required, the coach and other transport will be used to take attendees from the Minster to the Racecourse and return to the Minster and train station after lunch.  To ensure the transport requirement is understood and met please include your transport needs on the attached attendance proforma.Attendees arriving under their own arrangements should plan accordingly.

Contributions to the Cost of Lunch

4. The cost of the lunch is heavily subsidised by the Rifles/LI/KOYLI Association. For those people who wish to attend the Buffet Lunch the following contribution is required:

a. Retired Officers & their guests - £15 per person.

b. Retired OR’s & their guests - £7.50 per person.

Attendance

5. Soft copies of the proforma will be available on the Association website and hard copies are available from Branch Secretaries. Both soft and hard copies are available on request from the Rifles Office. To allow planning to be completed in good time please ensure that completed attendance proformas  are received not later than 5th of September.Regional Office by no later than 10th Sep 21. Contributions can be paid by cheque payable to KOYLI Regimental Association Fund or by BACS (preferred method), details are as follows:

14. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, late submissions cannot be considered.

6. The dress will be lounge suits/Regimental blazer and beret and appropriate dress for ladies.
