Some of you may be aware that a lady called Harriet Mann from the Yorkshire Air Museum bought a Leeds Branch KOYLI Banner from an antiques shop in Whitby some time ago.

The Banner is clearly very old, made sometime before 1953.  How it got to an antiques shop is anyones guess.  Clearly someone had it away.  I revived the Branch in about 2005, and I have never seen the Banner before.

Anyway, to be brief, the Branch have bought it back from the lady for a sum of £200, which is what she paid for it. 

Harriet has invited the Association to visit the Museum on the 14th of September when the Banner will be handed over, and she has also offered us free…
